Maricopa County Releases Its Nov. 8, 2022 Mid-Term Elections Automatic Recount Results

This video is from this morning’s hearing in Maricopa County Superior Court before Judge Timothy Thomason.

Judge Thomason announces the results of the November 8th Mid-Term General Elections mandatory recounts involving the three races that ended with vote-count margins smaller than the 0.5 % mandated by law (A.R.S. § 16-661) to trigger an automatic recount.

(Note regarding video: no audible speaking until after Judge Thomason enters courtroom at 1:40.)

The results of these three races, according to the Secretary of State’s sealed Order (“proposed order, formal report”) certifying the recount, handed to Judge Thomason by SOS Hobbs’ attorney Andy Gaona, which Judge Thomason then opened and read, are as follows.

ARIZONA ATTORNEY GENERAL:

Kris Mayes (D) -              1,254,809     
Abraham Hamadeh (R) - 1,254,529

ARIZONA SUPERINTENDENT OF PUBLIC INSTRUCTION:

Tom Horne (R) -                         1,256,406     
Kathy Hoffman (D), incumbent - 1,247,218

ARIZONA LEGISLATIVE DISTRICT 13 (northwest Maricopa County, northern Yuma County):

Jennifer Pawlik (D), incumbent - 47,164     
Liz Harris (R) -                            43,830      
Julie Willoughby (R) -                 43,555
